I want Windows 7!!!!

Grr... Looks like I won't be getting Windows 7 because of uneducated guesses that I, a computer wiz who always checks up and does research on something that can make a major impact on something, will mess up the computer that is FULLY compatible with Windows 7.

Here's what's going on: I tell my mom that I have 35 things so far on my Christmas List (Yes, I started early), and she reads some of them. When she spots "12. Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit Operating System", she gets on me on how I could mess up the computer. I tell her I ran the compatibility check, but she still insists that I stick with the oh-so-terrible Vista. I tell her that I did research, but that's ignored as well.

I want a GOOD Operating System, darn it! I want a STABLE Operating System! Windows 7 is that System I've been looking for, but I can't get it due to risks that don't even exist. Why is it that my adult peers completely ignore everything I say and replace them with nonsense? I KNOW what I'm doing! Heck, I've helped my friends out in installing operating systems safely!

Hopefully there is SOMEONE who can help my mom trust me and my words! I don't want to be stuck with the junkyard that is WINDOWS VISTA!
